Support system for job hunting

Both this course and the Program of Computer Science are departments that target the information field, and the job opportunities are similar, so both courses work together to support job hunting.

The main support is as follows, but in addition to this, homeroom teachers and the Career Center are available to provide consultation at any time, providing close, detailed support to each individual.

Careea Design (1st year basic subjects)

When entering university, many people may not yet have a clear career goal after graduation, but this does not necessarily become clear during the course of university life.
Therefore, we have established a basic subjects called "Career Design" in the spring semester of the first year, so that students can learn the methodology for career design and begin thinking about their future immediately after entering the university.

Career Guidance (each semester)

To have a successful career after graduation, students need to steadily acquire the various skills they will need in the future during each stage of their university life up to that point.
To give students a sense of purpose in this regard, we provide guidance each semester on what they should keep in mind and what preparations they should make during their university life at that time in order to find employment in the future.

Individual interview (spring semester of 3rd year)

In their third year, students will need to decide on their post-graduation career path, whether they want to get a job immediately after graduation or go on to graduate school and then get a job.
Therefore, at this time, we provide all students with an opportunity for individual interviews with the Career Center.
In these interviews, we will provide advice on specific career paths after graduation, including not only finding a job but also going on to graduate school, and we will also help students get an idea of how to specifically utilize the Career Center when their job hunting begins in earnest.

Employment Support Program (3rd and 4th years)

From the third year onwards, the Career Center will hold job-hunting support programs for science students almost every month, such as the following:

  • Career Guidance: "Considering the future paths of science and engineering students"
  • Career Guidance "Written exam preparation"
  • Career Guidance "Preparing for an application form"
  • Career Guidance "Learn the recruiter's perspective"
  • Career Guidance: "Learn about jobs for science and engineering graduates - Job consultation session with alumni"
  • Mock Interview Experience Seminar "Group discussion"
  • Mock Interview Experience Seminar "Group interview"
  • On-campus Corporate Research Seminar
  • On-campus company information session
  • Job hunting follow-up seminar
  • etc.
  • Graduate School Open Campus (4th year)

For students considering going on to graduate school, we hold open campus events where graduate students talk about their experiences studying at graduate school and job hunting, and offer advice to their juniors.

Career information service (1st to 4th years)

In addition to job information for the university as a whole and the Faculty of Engineering, we have also set up a webpage where you can find information on internships, job postings, school recommendations, on-campus company information sessions, etc. for the Program of Computer Science and the Course of Artificial Intelligence and Mechanical Engineering. We also distribute this information by email to those who request it.
