In this lecture, students start by asking, "What is a career?" and "What is designing a career?" It gives you the opportunity to think deeply about what to do proactively. In order to build a self-sustaining career as a working adult, it is necessary to know yourself and think about how to live your current life, and to envision your future. Thinking of the first steps to spending a meaningful student life and playing an active role as a member of society, using a workbook based on books for teens who have become the best-selling business book in "the Seven Habits". Let's do it. |
Learning Goals |
The theme of this lesson is to think deeply about taking a career and life proactively, and to learn a meaningful way of life centered on principles with reference to the book "Seven Habits for Teens". Aim for the goal; (1) Check your strengths and values, and acquire the attitude and willingness to think and act proactively about your career. (2) Develop a self-reliant personality and ability as a university student, and cultivate the confidence to be able to publicly proud in future job hunting. (3) Create your own mission statement and personal identity. |

Session 1 | Introduction: Think about what a career is and what a career design is in an era that is said to be 100 years of life, and understand the outline of this lecture. |
Session 2 | Student life and "7 habits": Understand the outline of student life and "7 habits", and learn the basics of principles and habits for living a meaningful life as a student now and as a member of society in the future. |
Session 3 | First habit: become independent Think about your life independently and acquire the habit of taking responsibility for your own life without depending on others or the external environment. |
Session 4 | Exercise: Independence and self-understanding Through question-style exercises that ask about your strengths and weaknesses, what you want to do, etc., you will deeply understand your attitude and your inner self in order to demonstrate your independence. |
Session 5 | Second habit: Start after thinking about the end Learn about proactive choices at life's milestones and understand the importance of setting goals for individual mission statements |
Session 6 | Guest Lecture 1: Senior Career Design 1 Invite an alumnus of the liberal arts university to give a lecture on your career. In addition, you will be introduced to a career seminar from the Career Center of our university. |
Session 7 | Third habit: Prioritize the most important things Learn about time management matrices and how to use them to prioritize and focus on what's important |
Session 8 | Exercises: Time management and priorities Apply your current student life to the time management matrix, think about where you spend most of your time, and think again about how to use your time more effectively. |
Session 9 | Fourth habit: Thinking about win-win Learn the concept of "trust balance of human relationships" and the six paradigms for "thinking about win-win", and learn the basic idea of human relationships |
Session 10 | Fifth habit: First understand the other person, then understand Learn empathic listening skills and learn skills to build better relationships |
Session 11 | Sixth habit: Creating synergies Think about communication that enriches human relationships and realize the power of teamwork that exerts synergistic effects |
Session 12 | Summary of 1st to 6th habits and 7th habit: Polish yourself After summarizing the "7 habits" that you have learned so far, you will learn to hone yourself in order to put them into practice, that is, to hone the four aspects of body, intellect, emotion, and spirit. |
