Virtual Reality
Course Purpose |
---|
Virtual reality is a technology that perceptually reproduces an essence of the real world by appropriately stimulating the senses of the user. The purpose of this course is to understand the fundamentals of sensing, modeling, simulation and display, which are essential technologies for realizing virtual reality. |
Learning Goals |
Students should be able to: 1) Understand and explain the concept of virtual reality, 2) Understand and explain the principle and feature of the essential technologies for building virtual reality systems, 3) Understand the mechanism of human sensations and cognition, and 4) Design a practical virtual reality system by combining the appropriate essential technologies. |
