Course Purpose
Taking up Ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean History in the age of Bible, through an analysis of historical materials, this subject introduces students to the cultural conditions in those days.
Learning Goals
・Students will acquire a basic knowledge of the history of the ancient Orient, ancient Greece, Hellenism and ancient Rome. ・Students will acquire a deeper understanding of historical descriptions, epigraphs, papyri, money and archaeological materials, all of which are indispensable in the study of ancient history. ・Students will be taught ideas and theories that are common throughout the history of science.
