Introduction to Cybersociety
Course Purpose |

A "cyber society" is being constructed and rapidly expanding on the network. In this class, students will survey the lineage of the progression of the "information society" and deepen their understanding of its essence by examining the relationship between the cyber society and the traditional real-world society. The emphasis is not only on understanding the technical aspects but also on setting themes for group learning to gain perspectives on living through and utilizing the cyber society from a global standpoint. |
Learning Goals |
Each student will deepen their correct understanding of the formation and development of the information society. They will acquire the foundational skills to become individuals who can share a vision of the future cyber society, contemplate and practice how to contribute to its realization, and utilize it effectively. Furthermore, they will develop the ability to understand various events in contemporary society from the perspective of internet communication, incorporating specialized terms and discourses. Additionally, they will gain an understanding of the nature of our "connections (relationships)" through internet communication. |
