Course Purpose
The purpose of this course is for students to experience and learn what is happening in Silicon Valley, a global center for high technology, innovation, and social media, through a 1-week study tour visiting companies, universities, and incubation facilities related to information technology with pre and post lectures on campus.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to a) understand the history and the current state of the IT industry in North America, b) understand the nature and skill required to be global workers, c) understand the difference of climate and culture between Japan and the US, and d) acquire proficient presentation and communication skills.
